Wilshere out 2-3 months

Arsenal fans got some rough news on Sunday night. The Gunners star midfielder, Jack Wilshere confirmed via Twitter that instead of coming back to face Swansea on Saturday, Sept. 10., he instead will be sidelined by an ankle injury.

The 19-year old English national has yet to play for Arsenal this season because of the injury to his right ankle.

According to the Mirror, Wilshere is wearing a surgical boot on his right foot to protect his ankle and will have it on for around the next month.

Considered one of the brightest stars for England, Wilshere first debuted for the Arsenal first team in 2008, at the age of 16 — the youngest ever for an Arsenal player.

Besides the injury affecting the Gunners, it also hurts the English national team as Wilshere will be out for the remaining Euro 2012 qualifiers.

Wilshere, is my favorite player on Arsenal and it was his jersey that I bought when I toured Emirates Stadium. I was looking forward to him playing, but it looks like I’ll just have to watch this highlight video of him, until he finally suits up for the Arsenal starting XI this season.

Wilshere confirmed on his Twitter Sunday night he would miss the next 2-3 months with a right ankle injury.
