The Road to the EPL title goes through Manchester

Manchester United showed again this weekend why they are the top dogs in the Premier League after defeating Chelsea 3-1.

The 25-year old Rooney is back in the conversation for the best player in the world title after his performance so far this season.

Old Trafford continues to be hell to play in for visiting teams and the Red Devils have quite the home advantage.

Man U has gone 5-0 in Premier League play so far this season and just seem to have too many weapons for teams to handle.

The offense starts with Wayne Rooney who has been one of the best players in the world so far this season.

Wazza has nine goals so far this year in only five games, which is ridiculous.

The Red Devils also have other offensive threats in summer signing Ashley Young, Nani, and Chicharito.

The fact that Manchester United doesn’t even start Michael Owen or Dimitar Berbatov just shows how deep they are in the front. Berbatov was the co-Golden Boot winner last season with Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez as the EPL’s leading goal scorer.

Manchester United showed their dominance in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea.

Manchester United’s main competition is going to be cross-town rival, Manchester City.

After City spent £35 million this summer on acquiring striker Sergio “Kun” Aguero from Atletico Madrid, the Baby Blues were ready to challenge the Red Devils for EPL supremacy.

The 23-year old Argentinian is turning the EPL on its head with eight goals so far.

So far Kun Aguero has lived up to the hype and already amassing eight goals for Man City.

Man City has spent millions of dollars on transfers to revitalize a team that needs to compete with Manchester United.

Besides Aguero, striker Edin Dzeko has been great too. He has added six goals. Along with David Silva and Samir Na$ri in the midfield, the City offense has been potent.

What is also weird to think about is that head coach Roberto Mancini has two world class strikers on the bench in Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli.

Tevez shared the Golden Boot award with United’s Berbatov last season, but after demanding to be traded this summer hasn’t really played due to Kun’s success.

The only time the mercurial Balotelli made headlines in the past few months has been this memorable act of show-boating which got him benched in a pre-season friendly against the LA Galaxy.

It will be exciting to watch the two Manchester clubs with all their stars try to out-do each other as the season progresses.

Here is my favorite clip of the past weekend.

Fernando Torres for Chelsea scored his second goal in 24 games for the club that paid £50 million for him last January.

He was redeemed for a little bit, until he made the most epic miss I’ve seen.
